How to sing with us

If you enjoy singing and want to be part of a friendly group of like-minded people, why not try us out? We really aren’t scary, and we’d love to make you feel welcome. We typically perform three or four times per year, usually in local churches.

When things return to something like normal, we will once again be rehearsing from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm every Monday in United Reformed Church, Osborn Road South, Fareham, PO16 7DG, where we would be very pleased to welcome people with an interest in joining us. Previous experience and the ability to sight read are desirable but not essential. You will obviously need some copies of the music. For your first few rehearsals at least, you will probably find it easiest to borrow copies from our librarian, who will be happy to assist. Ideally, do please email our secretary Susan, or ring her as above, to let her know of your interest, but failing that, just turn up anyway, and ask to speak to one of the committee.

Alternatively, you could look out for one of our choral workshops and join us for a day’s singing on a Saturday, as these are an excellent way see whether this is for you.

You are encouraged to attend a few rehearsals before deciding whether you would like to become a member. If you decide to stay you will be asked to carry out a short voice assessment with our musical director, Andrew Cleary.  Please see Voice Assessment for more details. For further information about what being a member involves, see here:  New members’ pack Feb 2019.

For information about our membership fees, see here.
