We were privileged and delighted to enjoy singing to an audience again in December. The Silent Night recording from our final rehearsal for this concert can be found here.
We are now looking forward to and preparing for our next concert, a performance of Handel’s Messiah, due to be held at 7.30pm on Saturday 11 June, in Holy Trinity Church, Fareham.
We start rehearsals for this work on Monday 10 Jan. If you are thinking about joining a choir, why not come along to one of these early rehearsals? Scores are available to borrow, and we will all be starting on the new pieces together, so you won’t feel out of place. For more information on how to go about this, see here.
Fareham Philharmonic Choir is an active, friendly group of over 60 people who enjoy getting together to rehearse and perform some of the most inspiring works by composers through the ages, up to and including modern works. See here for more about our recent concerts, to get a feel for our repertoire.
In the Autumn Term we started rehearsing together in person again – at last! We meet at 7.30 on Mondays in the United Reform Church, Osborn Road. Everyone is well spaced-out, and we follow the guidelines here (updated October 2021) to keep everyone safe.
Open Air Rehearsal, 19 July. We were at last able to meet and sing together again for the first time, albeit out of doors, and somewhat to the bemusement of passers-by.
